Prasat Thom and Prasat Prang

Prasat Thom and Prasat Prang, Koh Ker, Cambodia – 2018. Koh Ker was briefly the capital of the Khmer empire in the early 10th century under the reign of the kings Jayavarman IV and Harshavarman II. The most significant temple complex at Koh Ker is a double sanctuary made up of Prasat Thom and Prasat Prang. Prasat Thom is a temple surrounded by a moat and two walls, one of brick and one of stone with entrances in the west and east. It has a number of buildings and towers and smaller prasats. Most of it is in a ruined state. Prasat Prang is a seven tiered pyramid which is 36 meters high. At ground level the pyramid is a square of 62 meters each side.
